I started backpacking about 5 years ago while in college in the Pacific North West. I gained a lot of my experience in Mount Rainier National Park - my favorite place in the world! After college I moved to CO where I was a backpacking guide in the Rockies, then to MA where I did trail work, and then to AZ where I started my career in the National Park Service. I recently hiked 200 miles of the Arizona Trail and plan to do more thru hiking.
